Q:
Suzan, have you found that your academic studies have helped or
hindered your spiritual journey?
I
have found that my psychological understanding of others and
myself has greatly assisted me in grounding my spirituality in
my everyday world.
Q:
How is that?
I
had been on my spiritual path for about ten years when I found I
could go no further. I had seemed to “top out”. It was as if
I could not raise the ceiling any more without working on the
foundation. My guidance then led me to begin my studies in
psychology, which included many years of psychotherapy. It was
through my personal therapy that I was able to release some of
my childhood pain so that my emotions could come into balance. I
learned to honor my inner child and started the long process of
learning to love myself. Also, I realized that I had to
integrate my spiritual experiences into my physical life or I
would get “spiritual indigestion.”
Q:
How did you first begin this integration process?
My
educational experience and my counseling calmed the storms of
emotion so that Reason could communicate with Spirit. When my
life was in emotional turmoil, which was far too often, I could
still communicate with the higher worlds, but I could not ground
the messages in my everyday life. When I was in pain, I wanted
to run away to a better place, and my inner worlds became a
place to run to and hide. Once I learned to live with my
personal history and to manage my life, I had more peace and I
did not need to run away. Instead, I could bring my higher
guidance into my physical world to lead me in my everyday
challenges. Gradually, I was led from fear and confusion to love
and peace.
Q:
Do you feel now that you always live in love and peace?
Oh
no, but now I have the skills to recover when I slip into fear
and confusion. However, I think that it is important to stress
that all of us who have volunteered to become Lightworkers will
have many initiations. These initiations are necessary to clear
any fear from our aura so that we can center our consciousness
on love. It is through clearing our own aura and the aura of the
earth that we can assist in clearing the planet.
Q:
It doesn’t sound like these initiations are much fun.
No,
they are definitely not fun. However, we have volunteered to
enter into the long processes of remembering our true heritage.
What we need to accomplish in the next few years could not be
done with the knowledge of just one lifetime. Therefore, we must
release our life-long belief in pain and limitation so that we
can access our other third and fourth dimensional realities.
Once we heal “enough” of our present reality so that our
higher vision is restored, our other realities clamor to the
surface of our consciousness to be healed, as well. Then we can
recover the wisdom that lies hidden within the pain.
Q:
You say that we have volunteered? I don’t think many people
can remember doing that.
Yes,
most people don’t remember, especially at first, because we
volunteered before we took on our current life. However, as we
begin to awaken to our true Multidimensional SELF, we begin to
remember life “in between” death and birth, other third
dimensional lives, and lives upon the higher dimensions.
Q:
It seems that you have been avoiding the term “past life”.
Is that correct?
Yes,
I have avoided that term because all of our “past lives” are
actually occurring at the same moment in different time-space
quadrants. We can gain awareness of these lives by entering into
fourth or fifth dimensional consciousness. From fourth
dimensional consciousness, we can actually relive these lives
and experience the fears and loves of them. From fifth
dimensional consciousness, we have more objectivity and we can
intercede to act as a “higher self” to these realities.
Q:
Can you tell us more about fourth and fifth dimensional
consciousness?
The
fourth dimension is the plane of reality one octave above the
third dimensional, physical world. The fourth dimension, called
the Astral Plane by many, is the realm of dreams, imagination,
psychic ability, intuition, and creativity. The gateway to the
fourth dimension is opened through our unconscious minds.
Shaman, medicine men and women, true spiritual leaders, and
artists have been accessing the powers of the fourth dimension
and using them in the third dimension since the beginning of
history. The fifth dimension is one octave above the fourth. It
is a dimension beyond polarity, separation, limitation and time
or space. The fifth dimension is a spiritual plane and our
bodies there are made of Light. Some have called it the Soul
Plane. It is the conscious awareness of these higher dimensions
from our third dimensional reality that defines fourth and fifth
dimensional consciousness.
Q:
Is that what you mean by integrating the higher dimensions?
Yes,
once we can be consciously aware of the higher dimensions while
in our mundane, third dimensional, conscious state, we can begin
to bring that awareness into our everyday life. However, first
we must do our homework. The higher dimensions are only open to
us if we are willing to put aside our “time” in pursuit of
their gifts. Exploration of the fourth dimension is not always
an enjoyable experience, because the fourth dimension holds the
sum total of all of our emotions and thoughts from all of our
third and fourth dimensional experiences. Much as the murky
water in a pond stays at the bottom and the clear, fresh water
floats on the top; our unpleasant and painful memories lie on
the floor of the fourth dimension—just beyond our third
dimensional awareness. In order to cross the threshold into the
higher worlds, and we must be willing to face our history and
clear a path through our accumulated pain and confusion. Then we
can gain conscious access to our multidimensional heritage.
Q:
You said that many have achieved fourth dimensional
consciousness?
Yes,
however I’m not sure that “achieved” is the correct word.
It is my belief that rather than achieve a higher consciousness
we actually remember it. This higher consciousness already
exists, but we have been cut off from it by the forgetfulness
that overtakes us when we enter the third dimension. The leaders
who realized their fourth dimensional consciousness in the past
underwent initiations of purification and awareness so that
their powers and knowledge would not be misused. Unfortunately,
many have accessed this power without undergoing initiations and
have tapped into the dark side of themselves and others with
disastrous consequences.
Q:
Is your book, Becoming ONE, People and Planet a form of
initiation to assist the reader in clearing his or her passage
into higher awareness?
Yes.
This book offers an in-depth exploration of personal and
planetary awareness along with meditations and exercises to
expand our consciousness, activate our latent potentials and
become ONE with our own Multidimensional SELF, others and our
planet. Becoming ONE also chronicles my own process
of awakening. It is
the sum/total of what I have learned on my journey, plus the
added research and contemplation that was needed to tie the book
together.
When
I began writing this book, I thought that I would quickly and
easily summarize what I had written on my website.
However, the same flow of the ONE that initiated the idea
of writing the book had a much greater purpose, and writing the
book turned out to be another initiation for awakening, which is
usually what happens when we answer our inner calling.
Our expanded Soul/SELF calls us to answer its request,
and in doing so, we must face whatever barrier we have placed in
our life that has blocked us thus far.
Hence, when we look into the face of our Soul, we see all
that has stood in our way of BEING our Soul.
By confronting our inner darkness we can forgive it, move
through it and step into a greater, higher-frequency of light.
This process of increasing our vibration is infinite.
Thus, it has no end to our light, as well as no end to
the darkness that we can clear for ourselves and for our planet.
Q:
What is your ultimate wish for this book?
My
ultimate wish for the book is that it helps readers come into a
conscious communication with their Multidimensional SELF and
integrate it into their physical body and daily life.
Once each of us has integrated our Soul/SELF into our
daily life, we can contribute to a growing collective
consciousness that is creating a new reality. I believe that
each of us holds a personal puzzle piece, our Personal Divine
Ideal, which we will combine with the planetary puzzle,
Planetary Divine Ideal, to create our New Earth.
Our
Divine Ideal is the "ideal" person we chose to
express, as well as the purpose we chose to fulfill, before we
entered this incarnation. In
other words, our Divine Ideal is our reason for incarnation. We
all knew before entering this life experience that we were
entering a special time, an era of great planetary
transformation. From our pre-birth perspective in the ONE, we
could understand exactly how we could best contribute to this
transformation. Of
course, too soon after our incarnation, we forgot our great SELF
from when we made this choice. Therefore, we need to convert our
self back into our SELF before we can completely fulfill our
Ideal.
Becoming ONE
describes through research, prose, poetry, storytelling and
meditations how we can improve our life by connecting with our
Multidimensional Soul/SELF and integrate it into our mundane
consciousness and third dimensional self. Furthermore, through
integrating our Soul/SELF into our personal and planetary body,
we expand our consciousness from Individual Consciousness to
Collective Consciousness to Planetary Consciousness to Solar
Consciousness to Galactic Consciousness and eventually into
Cosmic Consciousness. Through our process of awakening our
consciousness becomes too expansive to be limited by our earth
vessel, or even our Galaxy.
As we return to our true SELF, we come back to being the
great inter-dimensional traveler that we have ALWAYS been.
Q:
Who do you see using this book, and how do you see them using
it?
I
believe each reader will find what they are seeking in this
book—whether that is scientific facts, a deeper connection
with their Soul/SELF and/or intimacy and unity with Gaia's Earth
and all her inhabitants.
Q:
Was there a significant moment or time that motivated you to
embark on your spiritual journey?
Yes.
I was born in 1946, the first of the Baby Boomers I was raised
with the indoctrination of the Fifties and obediently found a
“good man to take care of me,” bought a home with a picket
fence, and had my two children. I was a “good woman”. Then
one day, I was 28. I had it all, or did I? I was a wife and I
was a mother, but I wasn’t ME. By 1974 a “good woman” had
a career. Well, I wasn’t sure if I was “good” or not, but
I knew that I was miserable—very miserable. All of the secrets
from my childhood were locked away along with my innocence and
ability to feel joy.
My
emotions were a hurricane of repressed fear, sadness, and anger.
My thoughts were confused and obsessive. My relationship with my
husband of that time was awful, and my relationship with myself
was non-existent. I had to find ME or I could not go on! Then, I
met Mrs. Reed. Mrs. Reed was 84 years old and lived in a fairy
filled home in the hills above my house. She held my hand while
I took my first “conscious” step onto my spiritual path. I
remembered then that as a child I was connected to the higher
worlds. However, that connection was severed when I became a
teenager and believed that being like other people was much more
important than being like my Self.
Q:
How has your spiritual process helped you in your work as a
psychotherapist and in relationships with your family, husband,
children, and friends? Do you use this with your clients?
This
“process” is the core of who I am. If I do not take time to
connect with my spiritual self, I lose ME. If I lose me, all of
my relationships break down, both personal and professional.
Q:
Can you expand on the concept of
blending the psychological and spiritual aspects of live?
To
me, blending of the psychological and spiritual means to “walk
your talk.” This blending demands a conscious commitment to
creating a reality that is true to the person I want to be. This
calls for me to first know who I am now (psychological), and
second, to be in connection with the Multidimensional SELF
(spiritual) with whom I am becoming ONE.
In order to blend the psychological and the spiritual, I
believe that we must take complete responsibility for the life
that we are living and surrender to our Soul/SELF to understand
the lessons that life offers us.
Responsibility does not mean blame. When we blame
ourselves for what went wrong, we only create guilt and shame.
However, if we take responsibility for what is happening in our
life, we can embrace the power to guide us to a resolution. I
feel that sometimes our Soul places us in a difficult situation
as an “initiation” to force us to connect with our
multidimensional consciousness.
Q:
What do you think is unique about this book?
I
believe this book is unique because it pulls together many
different disciplines, as well as forms of expression.
In Becoming ONE, People and Planet I discuss
ecology, psychology, science, metaphysics and spirituality.
This information is expressed in a manor that is meant to
activate and combine the reader's brain into "whole brain
thinking." Whole
brain thinking is activated when we simultaneously process,
logical sequential left-brain information and holistic, creative
right-brain information. To
achieve this end, this book encompasses the various styles of
expression such as scientific and ecological research with art,
poetry, meditation and storytelling.
I have read many books and have never experienced this
combination of presentation of information.
Further, I offer audio CD meditations to accompany many
of the written mediations in the book.
These meditations are available for sale, or for free on
my website at www.multidimensions.com
or at www.myspace.com/multidimenisons.
Q: Are there any other books that you have written?
The
first book I ever wrote was Thirty Veils of Illusion.
This book is a novel, as well as a meditation book in which the
main character is having a dream wherein a different veil of
illusion is removed every night for thirty nights. The main
character is “conscious” in her fourth dimensional sleep
state but cannot remember her “unconscious” third
dimensional world. This book also arose from a personal
mediation process. While I was studying with Mrs. Reed, the
Ascended Masters with whom we were studying offered a special
inner temple to aid humanity in freeing itself from the
illusions of everyday life. I felt a call within myself to
experience this privilege. Each night for thirty consecutive
nights, I asked to be taken to this inner temple to have one
more veil removed. The following morning I sat down with pen and
paper and asked to be assisted in remembering the previous
evening’s experience. Fifteen years later, with much editing
and novelizing, the mediation became a book.
I
have also written a spiritual novel called Visions from
Venus, An Interdimensional Love Story, which is the story of
one Soul's decent into the third dimension and the consequent
separation from her Divine Complement. The story begins during
the time of the fall of Atlantis, a time much like today, and
continues as Shature, the main character, travels the dimensions
in search of her Complement.
Following Visions from Venus, I published Reconstructing
Reality, which is book two of Visions from Venus. In Reconstructing
Realty, Shature continues her quest for completion from the
perspective of the fourth dimension.
As she visits her many alternate realities on Earth, she
moves through many life initiations to clear her darkness, heal
her pain and connect with her Divine Complement. I have had a clear recollection of my alternate realities for
my entire life. Through
writing these two books I was able to clear much of the darkness
and pain in this life by clearing my "past lives."
I
have written poetry since I was a child, and many of my more
recent poems are combined in Seven Steps to Soul, A Poetic
Journey of Spiritual Awakening which is actually seven books
put into one format. Each book addresses a specific
“initiation” allowing us to clear our psyches enough to
create an avenue of conscious communication with our Soul. My poems were pulled together in this fashion during the long
death process of my mother, perhaps as an expression of my
process of moving through the phases of life from childhood (a
life begins and soon forgets), emotions (healing the pain),
thoughts (learning to think from within), relationships
(learning to love ourselves, others and the planet), creativity
(becoming a vessel of light), imagination (the joining of world)
and freedom (living in surrender).
Seven Steps is written to facilitate the process
of morning meditations and journaling, which was the process
through which it was written.
I
have also written two illustrated short stories. A Child's Adventure in
Faerie was the first short story I channeled. This story expresses the plight of a small child who runs
away to Faerie to find the love and communication missing in her
home. What
Did You Learn?, another illustrated short story, brings to
light the secrets of creation in a symbolic and imagistic
format.
Q: Are you working on a new book now?
I
have two or three books that are in various stages of
development. For
example, I have a part three to the Visions from Venus
series called Return to SELF, a part two for Becoming ONE
called Possible Realities and a book about expanded
perceptions and communication called The Silent Language.
